STratton day care center

The Stratton Day Care Center is the first phase of a long-term community development initiative intended to serve the Town of Stratton and surrounding eastern Colorado communities. As the cornerstone of the master plan, the facility provides much-needed early childhood education and care while establishing the vision for future phases, including a community recreation and sports complex. 

Sun Mountain Design Group worked closely with Town representatives to transform conceptual ideas developed through a collaboration with Colorado State University students into a practical, buildable facility. By integrating thoughtful architectural design with the efficiencies of pre-engineered metal building construction, the team developed a cost-effective solution that balances functionality, durability, and long-term value. 

Designed with sustainability and operational efficiency in mind, the facility incorporates high-performance building systems and rooftop solar panels to reduce long-term operating costs while creating a comfortable environment for children and staff. Currently under construction, the Stratton Day Care Center represents a significant investment in the future of the community and is anticipated to be completed in 2026.
