PRIEST RETIREMENT RESIDENCE

This proposed independent living community is designed to provide retired priests with a comfortable, accessible, and supportive residential environment on the Mount St. Francis campus in Colorado Springs. The development balances private living spaces with shared amenities that encourage fellowship, community, and spiritual well-being. 

The approximately two-acre campus is planned to include ten fully accessible apartment residences, each featuring a private bedroom, study, full kitchen, attached garage, storage, and outdoor porch. Common amenities include a chapel, communal kitchen and dining area, gathering spaces, exercise room, administrative offices, and support facilities designed to foster daily interaction while allowing residents to maintain their independence. 

The design emphasizes accessibility, comfort, and timeless architectural character while creating a welcoming environment that reflects the mission of the Diocese. Careful site planning integrates the development with the existing Mount St. Francis campus and surrounding landscape, creating a peaceful residential setting that supports both independent living and a strong sense of community.
