LUXURY EYECARE OFFICE

This new luxury eyecare office was designed to create a sophisticated, welcoming environment that reflects the quality of care and curated eyewear experience offered by the practice. Located within a new tenant space at Flying Horse Ranch, the project transforms a medical office into a refined, hospitality-inspired environment for discerning patients. 

Sun Mountain Design Group developed a clean, contemporary architectural language that balances the functional requirements of a medical practice with the warmth and sophistication of a luxury retail environment. The layout carefully organizes reception, waiting, eyewear display, and patient examination spaces to create an intuitive flow while maintaining a sense of openness and comfort. 

A custom-designed reception area establishes the architectural character of the office. A sculptural reception desk, integrated cabinetry, custom soffits, accent walls, and carefully coordinated lighting create a strong focal point upon entry. White oak acoustical wall panels and natural stone introduce warmth, texture, and visual depth while supporting the acoustic and functional needs of the space. 

Custom architectural millwork was incorporated throughout the office to seamlessly integrate eyewear displays with the overall design. Floor-to-ceiling shelving along the front windows provides an opportunity to showcase merchandise while reinforcing the connection between the retail and reception areas. Additional display elements extend along the rear wall, creating a cohesive visual experience throughout the office. 

The architectural detailing continues into the patient areas, where wood paneling and custom sliding doors define the circulation corridor and provide a refined transition to the examination rooms. Throughout the project, materials, lighting, millwork, and spatial proportions were thoughtfully coordinated to create a cohesive environment that is both highly functional and distinctly elevated. 

The result is a modern healthcare environment that moves beyond the traditional clinical setting, creating a warm, sophisticated experience from the moment patients enter the office through their entire visit. his built-to-suit dental practice in Monument, Colorado, stands as a prime example of high-performance medical architecture, where programmatic precision meets a site-responsive, modern aesthetic. The facility is meticulously organized to support a multi-disciplinary practice, featuring five high-efficiency exam and treatment suites alongside specialized zones for advanced diagnostic imaging and aesthetic services. The spatial layout is carefully calibrated to balance the rigorous operational demands of a modern dental clinic with the comfort of a hospitality-inspired environment for both staff and patients. 

The architectural experience is defined by a deep, intentional engagement with the site’s natural topography and mountain views. By strategically orienting the primary patient corridors and treatment suites toward the west, the design leverages iconic Colorado mountain vistas to create a calming, natural backdrop. This biophilic integration allows natural light and landscape views to permeate the clinical environment, significantly reducing patient anxiety. 

The building’s envelope serves as a study in contemporary regional architecture, utilizing a balanced material palette of rugged stone, crisp stucco, and warm wood siding. This combination provides a textured, multi-dimensional facade that allows the building to harmonize with the local vernacular while establishing a distinct, modern identity that stands out in the Monument business community. 

Beyond the structure, the project’s success is anchored in comprehensive site planning and landscape design. The circulation strategy ensures intuitive, efficient navigation for patients, while parking and vehicular ingress-egress are seamlessly integrated into the landscape in full compliance with local jurisdictional standards. This meticulous attention to detail reflects a commitment to enhancing the overall patient experience, resulting in a facility that operates with clinical precision while serving as a refined, enduring addition to the local community.
